Happy Sunday everyone!
Welcome to my pretty late wrap up post. I hope you enjoy it anyway xD
So… life lately. I haven’t been around the blogging realm a lot and I think you’ve probably noticed. Or maybe you haven’t – which is perfectly okay too. I have fallen head over heels in love with instagram and the snapchat (I’m ocatastrophe there. Add me!) bookish community which means I haven’t been around here an awful lot. All my time goes into those two and making videos for my channel. Which means I have been neglecting my blog. Which is a shame, in my opinion, because this blog was what was made first. I contemplated giving up blogging but I have ultimately decided I am going to continue working on it. I’m going to be coming back, I promise!
Also, the Fantasy Favourites Read-a-thon for 2016 started today! Yay! I’ve been reading a lot already and it makes me happy 😀 I have had the habit of starting a lot of books and just not finishing them… so hopefully with this read-a-thon I can finish up all those books I’ve started and enjoy reading some new ones too.
As for the difficult period I was having last month or the month before, things have cleared right up. I’m mostly getting enough sleep nowadays and feel like myself again ^.^ Thank you for all the people who asked me about it.
I had exams this month – and I passed them all. Some went really well, and one of them I literally passed by the skin of my teeth (maths, if you were wondering. Those pesky numbers…)
I went out to dinner with some friends, and also out to dinner with my mother once. With friends I saw Independence Day: Resurgence which was surprisingly a really good movie. Maybe the first one is still my favourite but this one did a pretty good job of it too.
My other older sister is back from Paris and staying with us for two whole months. We’re having writing sessions, working on finding her a literary agent for her novel and just enjoying each others company.
I have been planning a lot of posts and videos which I can’t wait to get out there. On instagram I reached 1000 followers (I have a giveaway over there which you should all enter!) and was chosen to be a rep for Inspire Fandom as well, which made my day. Be ready to see an unboxing video and also post coming up soon.
We had a school trip to Amsterdam which was nice, and I got to visit a bookshop. Oh, and then there was also me getting my hair done all in singles… which took forever! But I love the results 😀
Lastly, I started The Review Chain which is a blog tour/review company. Interested in receiving books to review? Head over there to see how to become a part of the team.
I read six books last month. The Cleansweep Conspiracy by Chuck Waldon, The Reluctant Sacrifice by Kerr-Ann Dempster and The Way to Game the Walk of Shame by Jenn P. Nguyen are all books I wrote reviews for.
The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey turned out to be pretty good! I’m not saying too much about it because I have a review upcoming for that one. I watched the movie afterwards which was terrible…
Twilight: The Graphic Novel Part 2 by Young Kim and Stephanie Meyer which I just loved as much as part 1. Gorgeous pictures and so well adapted.
Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro was okay. It was clever, but pretty slow paced which left me with mixed feelings. I studied it for school.
You may or may not recognise this photo from my Fantasy Favourites Read-a-thon TBR and intro post. Needless to say, what I plan to read throughout this week is pretty much my main reading goal of the month.
